Hello and Good day,

I m on here in hopes someone has some advice or where i can go to get help to get a vehicle for me, my disabled wife and our 3 kids. I had 2 vehicles 3 months ago and both met their last days 2 weeks apart, on top of that we just got evicted from our house Feb.1 cause homeowner didn't tell us house was in foreclosure and we found out by a summons in the mail telling us we had till the 1st of Feb. So thank God my work has been letting me use a work truck to get back and forth to work. But now i m laid off for the winter and they want it back so here i am trying to figure out what the hell were going to do? So if anybody can help out a Great, Loving, & deserving family PLEASE feel free to shoot me an email. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME and hope to hear from someone ASAP!

I am a mother of 4 wonderful children. I have a full time job and yet I still can not afford to pay but half of our bills since their father was laid off from his job last Oct. I think I really just came here to get some of this out since I haven't been able to openly talk about it with our families. I try very hard to find extra ways to make money but they are few and far between right now. I am facing forclosure, my car being repossed, and to top it all off seperation from the children's father. People say that money is the route to all evil and I can say this is sort of true. Since he lost his job we have done nothing but argue about not being able to pay all of the bills. We have downsized as much as we could but we still are not making it and it is putting a strain on us and in turn it is effecting the children because they sense that there are problems in the household. I love my husband very much but neither of us can continue taking out the stress of our finances on each other and be able to maintain a marriage. I just wish I could find help financially or just someone to help us get on the right tract to saving our home and our marriage! Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

My name is Lance. I have a wonderfull wife and two beautifull children. In October i underwent a major sinus operation. One week after the surgery a culture showed that i tested positive for Coagulose negative Staphylcoccus. After three weeks of unsuccessfull IV antibiotics, I needed to get back to work, no matter how sick I still was.After a one week I was laid off. About 5 years ago we had bought our first house that made us cash strapped, So after being laid off it didn't give us much time to make house payments while collecting unemployement. After a heartbreaking foreclosure we had to find a affordable rental within the school district so that our  children could finish out there school year at the same school. Presently I am looking for work, seeing alot of doctors, taking alot of medications. any help is apprecitated

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) replaces the AFDC (Aid to Families with Dependent Children), formerly known as "welfare". Welfare Reform efforts in Indiana have placed an emphasis on "work first" and "personal responsibility," replacing cash assistance with transitional services that help people gain employment and depend less on public aid.

What is TANF?
TANF is a program that provides cash assistance and supportive services to assist the family, helping them achieve economic self-sufficiency.

A family may not possess assets valued in excess of $1,000 at the time application for assistance is made. The house, which is the usual residence, is exempt.

Where do I apply?
To apply for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, contact your local Division of Family Resources Office in your county of residence. The local Office of Family Resources in each of the ninety-two Indiana counties has the responsibility of processing applications, certifying eligible applicants for participation, and issuing benefits. Applications may be taken to the local DFR office, mailed or faxed.

What happens after the application is filed?

A decision will be made to grant or deny assistance within 30 days of the date of application, unless there is a valid reason that prevents the local office from making a decision.

How does the county DFR office determine the amount of cash payment?

Financial eligibility initially is determined by the number of eligible family members and their total income. The income is compared to a set standard based upon family size. The standard for a family including children and their caretaker is reflected in the chart below.

What are the responsibilities of the applicant or recipient of TANF?

The applicant or recipient must provide the Office of Family Resources (DFR) with accurate and complete information regarding the child(ren), parent(s) and all other household members whose income and needs are to be assessed in order to determine eligibility. In addition, individual members must provide their Social Security numbers, meet state residency, citizenship/alien requirements, employment and child support assignment requirements.

Changes in circumstances are to be reported by the recipient to the local DFR office within 10 days of the date the change(s) occurred.

What if an applicant or recipient is not satisfied with an action taken on his or her case?

The applicant or recipient has the right to appeal any action on his or her case and have a fair hearing. An applicant or recipient may appeal by sending a written request to the local DFR office or to the Hearings and Appeals Section of the Division of Family Resources within 30 days of the effective date of the action taken on his or her case.

I am a mother of three.  I am on disability and I am unable to get my kids christmas. Could anyone please help me out. I have a 19 year old son with medical and mental problems. I have a 16 year old son and I have a 12 year old daughter. We live in Tulsa Oklahoma 611 E 26th Pl N Tulsa Ok 74106 (405-882-9627). It is a very dificult time for us. My children all need clothes and my daughter loves Hannah Montana.  My boys would really love to have a video game, computer, remote control cars. Daughter wants anything of Hannah Montana, She would also like to have a computer and a tv of her own. They dont have beds to sleep on right now cause we cant afford to get them right now. My husband and I are both on disabilty. We would also like to have some clothes and things of our own. We also need furniture and new dishes. If u could find it in your heart to please help this family out we sure would be greatful to yall. I just want my kids to have a good christmas. They havent had one in the last three years and it just breaks my heart into. I am a diebetic and also have heart problems. And if you could please get my boys a electric or gas operated scooter. So can someone please help my family out.

hello, my name is tamera, im 50 yrs old,recently moved here due to parents passing last year wanted to be closer to my kids, im a mother of 6.my husband and I were attacked 4 yrs ago at wallmart and were seriously injured with long term cronic results.4 out of 10 assalaints were arrested.our only  income now is disab ck once a mo, of 1147.00 doest even cover our necessities for life,were trying to make a home out of a trailer we got for 2,000. last year so that tells alittle of the condition of the home its a real fixer upper... god has ways and im trying my hardest to keep faith,and be strong but without family there's little hope,were on our own for our children please if anyone needs a helping hand my family deserves this,in obly one person that's why im desperately asking for any prayers,donations,food or referalls so i can please have a christmas for my children, It's all ready a lonely one with the loss of my parents for them, please find it in your hearts to take my families in for christmas with yours, we'd be deeply appreciative.and god bless.thankyou.

Hi i am a single grandma that is really having a hard time financially this year i am looking for a company or individual to adopt a family for christmas i cant even afford to get a tree i was waiting on my unemployment to come but still nothing i have a great 9 old little boy who loves to play on his video games and with starwars or G.I.joe action figures he is doing very well in school his mom and dad dont help in any way at all i feel really bad my mom died last mo. on his birthday 11-5 so we are dealing with our loses in alot of ways please somebody reach out to a little boy this year and help him have a christmas thank you

im a building contractor,. things are real slow for me now,.and to top it off i had knee surgery on the 29th of october and still not held up from that,. ive never had it this bad in my life.. bills are pilling up ,.im trying to saport me the wife and 3 boys ages 19 17 &13... i also have 3 dogs we are very atached to.  my wife runs a daycare which is under i.c.c.p. and with the economy the way it is if her clients dont work they dont qailifie for i.c.c.p. and right now she is only taking care of one child and that barely puts food on the table..kids are asking if we are going to have christmas what do i tell them right now i have over a 800 credit score and i would hate to lose that the bank wont let me defer payments and i would hate to put any thing on a credit card which would only make mattors worse right now im at witts end on what to do im 50 years of age and dont even have health care as well..i dont get unemployment or any other ade..my mother paid for my knee surgery shes going on 88 years of age she hasnt any more to give bless her heart. i just need a little help to get me through this winter god  help us..our bills add up to around 1500.00 a month i just dont know what to do.theres no jobs around hear and at the time i cant work any way.. i know theres other storys out there just like ours and times are hard,.we just dont want to end up out in the cold. can u help us?

I am a 29 year old mother of 3 and full time college student. I live in Tuscola county Michigan. I lost my job a year ago. My husband works hard to support us all. We have a room mate as well. He is a good family friend for over 15 years. He has no way to help us out with bills as he has so much debt he is buryed. I can not kick him out because he and his 3 (every other weekend) kids have no place else to go. We do not qualify for food stamps or medical help (except the kids). I recently had to pay an entire unemployment check just for glasses so I am able to see to drive to school.

I am looking for someone interested in helping us out with food. We would be interested in a slaughtered animal or anything else that people would be willing to help out with. We also burn wood as we can not afford propane and would be grateful if anyone has deliverable wood. We would be willing to do hard labor type work for you if any help is available.

Anyone out there that can help a regular country family, please let us know. I do not have newer pictures of us, as I do not own a camera. So, these are all I have.

My life is screwed and I dont know how to fix it

Its been a year and my life is getting worse and worse

I was a third year electrician working side by side with a licensed electrician doing a full out resturaunt. My truck that I baught the year before broke down. One car is all I had and now I couldnt get to work. Only two weeks left in the resturaunt to be finished. SInce I could not get to work they replaised me one week later I fix my car and sorry we had to fill your position due to project needed to be finished on time "sorry". The roll with the punches start appling for another electrical job. Well the economy takes a crap and contractors cant hire.

Its been seven months

and me and my family are living worse then a crackheads , And we dont even drink

Me and my husband have been  doing foster care for almost 4 years. At this time we have no foster children. I started a free clothes closet for our community with the help of our community and carl perkins. While doing this I meet a lady that has 3 small children 5, 2 and 9 months; they are homeless, jobles, and carless. We tried everywhere I know to get help for this family. She has a past so no one wants to help her. I gave her a list with some off the wall things to do. She galdy done them without questioning anything. She is trying really hard to get away from old friends and has no family to help.The 5 y/o girl  had missed 11 days of school while the moher searched for help to find a home and a way to get her child into school. My family had a family meeting and took the family in. They have been with us for 3 weeks now and our home is getting smaller with 9 people living there. We are all trying to make the most of it, but the big goals is to get her and her children a place to call their own. The are no job and our county has 1 of the highest unemployment numbers in our state. She starting to lose hope. I don't know what else to do. The few organizations that we have locally for help, have told her to go to DCS and turn her children over to the state and walk away.  What is wrong with this country, that we can go help people around the world and not help our own people that live here in the USA. Any and all help will be greatly appericated. I just keep reminding everyone that GOD will not give us more than we can handle. We must keep the faith in the LORD.

I am a 27 year old wife and mother of 2. My husband is partially disabled due to an accident from his teenage years but still works a physically demanding construction job, while going to school in the evenings to better our families lives. My children are 2 beautiful girls aged 3 and 1 1/2. I also work full time as a medical assistant in an elementary school. Our daycare bills are high and to top everything off we are trying to purchase a house through a land contract so that our children can have some stability in their lives. Our credit is not good enough to actually get a home loan so we have to go this route. I am hoping that someone out there with extra funds will remember what it was like to struggle and will find it in their hearts to help us. We could use the money for bills, daycare, food, clothes, paying past collectors to improve our credit. If you can, please help. Thank you!

Hello my name is mike,ihave 5 kids and a wife.I was laid off from att in feb.and havent been able to find steady work.I applied for unemployment benefits but att fought paying me so i couldnt recieve benefits,so i am currently unemployed to this day.I am asking for either someone help me get a job or please help me with my bills. i am about to lose everything i have.I have prayed and prayed but things are still unchanged so if there is anyone out there who could help ,my family and i would forever be indebted to you.

We are stuggling to servive... My boyfriend is working two jobs and we are behind on rent.  I am looking for work but not allot out there.  I have a baby who will be 7 months tomorrow and a cat.  Homelessness is not an option.  We need 500.00 and or a playpen for our son who is starting to crawl.  I would appriciate any help no matter how little.

I am a mother of 4 young children. Our electric just got shut off once again. I am having no help with the government agencies. On paper it looks like we make too much. How can we when there is no electric and barely any food. I am slowely loosing faith in everything. If anyone knows of anything to help please let me know and pray for my family. I just want to give up.
